Mohammad Tahseen is the founding Executive Director of South Asia Partnership Pakistan (SAP-PK), a well-known civil society development organization representing one of the largest networks in Pakistan. Major emphasis of its work is striving for the fundamental rights of citizens, especially with a focus on women, non-Muslims, youth, and working classes in the most deprived areas in Pakistan.
As a strong believer of civil liberties, Mohammad Tahseen has been involved in help organizing community based organisations, almost in every district of Pakistan to advocate and struggle for their fundamental rights. Tahseen has worked with rural workers, factory workers, and especially with trade unions, journalists' organizations, and lawyers' associations reflecting his commitment to the cause of peace and equity in Pakistan and in different countries of South Asia. Additionally, as a founder member and the first Secretary of Pakistan NGO Forum, he has effectively raised the collective voice of organsiations for their fundamental right of association, freedom of speech, and right to assembly.
He is an active member of the Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP). He has served as Chairperson of the Pakistan National Committee (PNC) of IUCN. As the National Coordinator of the Pakistan Civil Society Forum (PCSF), he continues to be a driving force in the civil society landscape.
He has served on the governing boards of several civil society organizations in Pakistan as well as on different broads of government of Pakistan. He has chaired the boards of directors for organizations such as Aurat Publication & Information Service Foundation (Aurat Foundation), Pakistan Institute of Labour Education and Research (PILER), and Forum de International Montreal (FIM). He is serving as the Chairperson of Board of Directors of PPAF (Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund).
Mohammad Tahseen's contributions to peace in the region are commendable, as he serves as the Convenor of the Pakistan India People's Forum for Peace and Democracy (PIPFPD) for the past two years. Internationally, Mr. Tahseen is well-regarded for his grassroots advocacy work within South Asia's civil society circles. He has actively participated in various international networks and movements focusing on peace, ecology, democracy, and human rights. Notably, his dedication to human rights and advocacy has earned him the prestigious Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Presidential Award for Human Rights.

Irfan Mufti, holds Master’s Degree in Social and Cultural Anthropology and M.Phil in North American History. He has been an active part of social movements, human rights and peace coalitions in Asia and other regions of the world for the last more than 35 years. He led a global campaign Global Call to Action Against Poverty (GCAP) for three years and mobilized millions on the issues of poverty and economic justice across 5 continents. He is a well-known human rights defender and a peace activist in Pakistan and South Asia. He co-founded of South Asia Partnership-Pakistan (SAP-PK) and currently serving as its Deputy Executive Director. He has worked extensively in community development field facilitated community groups, NGOs and networks, organizational planning, community development projects, humanitarian assistance and advocacy campaigns. He co-authored two books on global civil society, social movements and global governance published in South Africa. He regularly contributed to political economy sections of national English dailies and other research journals. He currently leads several human rights platforms in Pakistan and South Asia.

Mr. Mahmood Ahmad has been serving South Asia Partnership Pakistan (SAP-PPK) as "National Program Manager" since 2006. During this period he has coordinated, supervised and managed "Strengthening Democratic Governance Program (SDGP)" from 2006 to 2009 in Punjab, KPK, Sindh and Balochistan jointly funded by Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) Canada and Swiss Development Cooperation (SDC).
He has developed and coordinated 750 Community Physical Infrastructure (CPI) schemes, 53 Integrated Water Efficient Irrigation Projects, 3 Livelihood Enhancement programs, and Community Health and Education Improvement Projects for from 2007 to 2016 in KPK, Punjab and Balochistan with the financial assistance of Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) Islamabad.
Currently, he is coordinating SAP-PK’s Program Management Unit (PMU), mainly responsible to review progress of on-going projects/programs and also responsible to conduct follow-up of PMU decisions. He has 24 years of working relationship with SAP-Pakistan. He has represented SAP-Pakistan at various provincial, national, South Asian and International forums.

Shabnam Rashid belongs to a liberal family whose aspiration for contributing in promoting democracy in the country has helped her a lot. Learning’s from the family further facilitated her to understand development work easily when she had joined the NGOs’ community. Though she had started her professional life by teaching but, was not satisfied with teaching profession. So shifted her line of profession by joining NGO community with a firm believe that it will enrich her understanding to contribute and help in empowering the marginalized community which in result will flourish an environment of democratic norms essential for the peace promotion.
She has learnt the managerial & administrative discipline from “Adult basic Education Society” that’s the NGO which she joined after quitting teaching. In May 1992, Shabnam Rashid changed her work space and joined South Asia Partnership, Pakistan (SAP-PK). Working with SAP-PK broadens her vision (which includes working not only with in Pakistan but goes beyond the border) with an experience of 18 years till today. Her experience based on organizing Development Dialogues, Editing Urdu Researches/thematic papers which includes her experience of producing monthly news paper “Channan” as Editor. She has also written introductory flyers & papers such as “Globalization, Good Governance”, Engendering Good Governance, Small Arms, peace and women issues as well as a flyer on advocacy Issue” in Urdu.
She was also part of research projects: Common Wealth on “Civil Society in the new millennium”. National research was conducted on “Practical Implication of Local Government”. As follow-up dialogues as was conducted at a various level. Safer World-UK: National Research on” Small arms and Light Weapons” has recently completed. At personal level she was also part of an ILO’s report on “Sialkot Child Labor Elimination Program 1999” & research case study “Micro Leasing in Pakistan”.
Her commitment to promote Gender sensitive norms and values helped her to be a pioneer of establishing and forming “Gender & Development Desk” in SAP-PK. She has also written a booklet on “Gender Discrimination and Just Society”. She had facilitated UNESCO funded political education program for women “Democratization for Women” in Sialkot district and UNDP’s “Women Mobility Program” for Traffic Police on Gender Orientation. She has also helped SAP-PK in organizing People’s Assemblies on “devolution of power” & many more. She is a core member of organizations’ senior management.
Her commitment to serve the humanity goes beyond religious and geographical boundaries: she has presented two papers during 2 conferences (in milieu with interfaith harmony) held in Indonesia: “A question of inter faith harmony in Pakistan” & “The Role of Religion “To Overcome Violence with out Violence”. She was part of the team which organized “People’s Summit” (corresponding to SARC Summit) not only in Pakistan but in Sri Lanka as well. She is part of peace initiatives among India & Pakistan. She is also part of Women Initiatives for Peace in South Asia (WIPSA).
Personal skills extended from proficient in computer usage especially MS Word, Windows 95 & 97, Word Perfect & Urdu Software and designing & Organizing workshop/rallies, demonstrations on various socio, political and economic issues. Political thrust of her is peace promotion.

Mr. Sharjeel Ahmad has been working with SAP-PK on different managerial positions from last sixteen years. He has developed his expertise in designing and conducting trainings, monitoring and evaluation of development initiatives
and has run election monitoring campaigns as National Coordinator, Pakistan Coalition for Free, Fair and Free Elections (PACFREL).
